Dr. Bauer was born in Pforzheim in 1963 and was brought up in Austria (Salzburg and Vienna). While he was studying medicine in Vienna from 1984 to 1991 he became deeply interested in plastic surgery. During his studies he operated with Prof. Hanno Millesi in private hospitals whilst he was writing his doctorate on plastic surgery. After graduation he had post-graduate training programs in the USA and South America. Upon completing his residency and passing the board exam in Frankfurt he established his own surgery in Wiesbaden until he decided to join and direct the biggest Medical One Clinic for plastic surgery in Munich-Grünwald.
